For Skype, I would use a computer that doesn't have a bunch of secure stuff that could be compromised or affected by viruses. At home, we do internet and Skype with a computer that has nothing else on it. Our real computer is off-line.

I did read your phone deal with Europe. Looks good! Since I call from anywhere in the US I discovered Pennytalk is so far the best. No fees - all they need is your credit card for billing - your phone number will be the account number! For Switzerland they charge me $ 00.49 connection fee and then $ 00.02 per minute. As you can see as more you talk as better the deal. I use this service over two years and no problem. With 2 teens, addicted to their phones, the Skype might come in handy!
