Seattle Bindery Acquires Blake Letterpress

(Seattle, WA November 12, 1997) - Seattle Bindery President Milt Vine announces the acquisition of Blake Letterpress , a Bellevue, WA-based trade finishing house. Founded in 1985, Blake is known for foil stamping, embossing, diecuttin g-including customized presentation folders-perfing, scoring and sequential numbering.

"It's the perfect addition to our existing capabilities," says Vine. "We can now offer customers what they've been asking for . . . a one-stop postpress shop."

The purchase of Blake brings with it additional production expertise and equipment, including five Heidelbergs, a Kluge and a Lyon for diecutting, embossing and foil stamping, and a Kluge hyperfolder.

"A large motivator for the acquisition was the high level of Blake's technical expertise, as reflected in their reputation for the hightest caliber work," says Vine.

Founded in 1960, Seattle Bindery is a postpress house specializing in custom tabs and presentation folders; folding and stitching; foil stamping, embossing and diecutting; and plastic spiral, Wire-O and perfect binding.
